Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to produce correspondence/reports/biddable documents for arsenic, radium and iron
removal water plants; wells; water storage tanks; pumping stations; piping systems; and
wastewater treatment plant improvements. - Ability to design and perform bench scale and pilot scale treatability studies and perform
technical and economic feasibility studies. - Experience with preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates and bid documents.
- Substantial knowledge of wastewater and water treatment plan processes is required, including
pumping systems, aeration systems, digestion systems, digestion gas processing systems sludge
drying systems, UV disinfection systems and variable speed drives and controls. - Demonstrated ability in physical, chemical, biological processes, hydraulics, and principals of
water and wastewater treatment plant design. - Because this is key and critical position requiring extensive knowledge of applicable
engineering concepts and issues, a master of science degree in civil or environmental
engineering (or alternative, bachelor degree and five years of applicable work experience
is required)
