- Analyze the existed data related to different applications (Sales System, Fleet, Advanced Reservations, Rental History) using Informatica Analyst.
- Discuss with the Business Analyst in understanding the requirements
- Analyze the data as to the provided transformations
- Evaluate the possibility to implement in Informatica or seek for additional information.
- Data Profiling and Understanding the gaps and Interaction with Data Stewards and Business SME’s and applying the Business rules.
- Understand the redundancy in data discussing with the Business/SME’s/BA
- Understanding the Business Rules/SLA’s
- Communicate with data stewards for analyzing the data and finding out the gaps.
- Requirements Analysis with Business Analysts and preparation of ETL specifications and Identification of GAPS and get it reviewed by Data Architects, Business SME and proper sign off and developer handover.
- Discuss and analyze the requirements with Business Analysts which are provided through a specifications document both high/low level design documents.
- Coding according to the specifications document and seek for an architect’s approval through code review and migrate to different environments like Dev/QA/UAT/Production.
- Data cleansing, Data validation, Data Standardization, Customer Address Validation Using Informatica developer tool and migrate the cleansed data to Salesforce Using Informatica Power Exchange connector to read DB2 Mainframe Sales system data and load into Salesforce using Salesforce Connector.
- Perform various transformations using different functions to remove the gaps in data like spaces, prefix/suffix, special characters etc. and validate data through Data Reconciliation.
- Use Address doctor for validating address as per the specified formats eg: USPS, FedEx etc.
- Use Informatica PC to connect to various databases like IBM DB2, SQL server, Oracle, Teradata, Salesforce etc. to extract data and perform required validations/transformations and load data into the respective database/sftp.
- Understanding existed GDW Teradata BTEQ scripts and enhancements based on new requirements and providing required Salesforce objects names and its data types under change list of Salesforce Agile accelerator and interaction with Salesforce team
- Writing Unix Shell/BTEQ scripts to connect to the database to extract the data when not possible through Informatica PC to load data into the Database/sftp.
- Load Customer data of complex hierarchy into Salesforce CRM according to their customer Ids/Accounts/Contacts/Identifications (Driver license/passport numbers).
- Development of ETL code, Unit testing code peer review by Data Architects and proper Hand over to QA team and then code deployment across the environments.
- Develop the slowly changing dimensions to capture legacy data, current data and develop the ETL code based on the Specifications document
- Perform unit testing and go through a code review by a Sr. Developer/ Architect
- Deployment of code to QA/UAT for quality testing.
- Deploy the code into Production once the Stakeholders approve/signoff
- Defects analysis and finding proper root cause and apply the code fixes, testing and Code deployment.
- Utilizing skills such as – CRM – Sales force, Informatica Cloud, Informatica Data Quality, Informatica Analyst, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Power Exchange, Siebel CRM, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata
- Once code is developed and moved to the higher environments and if a defect is raised, perform defect analysis and fix the issue at hand through finding out the errors in code and prepare the incident documents.
- ETL code is fixed/modified through Informatica PC/Cloud/Informatica Data Quality and load data into Salesforce CRM.
- Write SQL queries according to the requirements, apply complex functions and aggregating the data by quarterly/half yearly/annually and load the aggregated data into the respective base tables.
REQUIRED SKILLS & Education
- Working knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Required to have Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
